What a mess we’ve become, but what joy we have given Donna’s feet, for together we have traveled many miles and experienced many things. We were so white and fresh last September when she first put us on her feet. Then where did she take us. Wow, I’m 72!

I’ve just celebrated another year. On my birthday I thanked God for this past year and for my health.  I feel so blessed. I just vacationed with my wonderful daughters, my husband, and 3 grandchildren. My family brings me so much joy. They all keep me young at heart.  I look back on year 71 and remember all the amazing things that I was able to do: hiking, climbing on mountains, going in caves, seeing wonderful sights all over the world. I’ve Never Been Called A Hero Before

Today a scary thing happened. I was driving down the Interstate with my two grandsons when suddenly as I was beside an 18-wheeler, a large white piece of metal broke off from the side of the trailer right in front of my car. No time to react-just had to drive into it.  Well, there was no way I was going to pull over onto the shoulder of I20 with my grandsons in the car, so I took the first exit and found a place to pull over.
