Happy New Year

Another one! Each one remains a mystery to a certain extent for no one can be sure of what lies ahead.

We can make resolutions and we can make plans, but we cannot not be sure of what challenges we will face. We can only hope that our faith will remain strong for whatever lies ahead. As we age, we hope for good health, physically and mentally. Each year we worry a little about it, but we can resolve to not let our fears overcome us.

2015 was a very good year in so many ways, but it also had its difficult times. My hope is for a better year for all. Some have faced fear and sorrow and cynicism in the past year. May each of us be blessed and strengthened by those who have positive outlooks on life. May we ourselves be that positive influence on others.

Oh, I have my usual resolutions: eat healthier, exercise more, be kinder, smile more, go to church more often, pray more, travel, etc. Most of all, I want to be helpful to others, especially my family; and I want to be able to find the joy in life, even when it tries to elude me.

I hope when 2016 is over, I can say it was a wonderful and blessed year. I hope you can say that as well!
